Carnival has issued a guest advisory for the Carnival Paradise out of Tampa, and before anyone panics: nobody's losing a port. The line simply decided to rearrange them, like a parent reseating squabbling kids in the back of the minivan.

The affected sailing is the six-night western Caribbean voyage departing July 20 — and only that one. Originally the schedule had Belize on July 22, Roatan (Isla Tropicale) on July 23, and Cozumel on July 24 before returning to Tampa on July 26. Now Roatan and Belize have swapped seats: Roatan moves up to July 22 (11:00 AM–7:00 PM) and Belize slides to July 23 (8:00 AM–5:00 PM). Cozumel and the homecoming stay put.

Per Carnival's note, "the days visiting Isla Tropicale (Roatan) and Belize have been swapped and port times have also been modified." Any shore excursions booked through the line will be automatically shuffled to match, so you don't have to do the calendar math yourself.

The reason? Carnival didn't say, which is Carnival's God-given right. The usual suspect for a last-minute reshuffle like this is port congestion — everybody wants the same pier on the same Tuesday — but the line hasn't confirmed anything, so neither will I.

For the record, the 71,925-gross-ton Carnival Paradise is a Fantasy-class veteran and one of the oldest ships in the fleet, carrying 2,124 guests on four- to six-night western Caribbean runs from Tampa. She's been swapping ports since some of you were in diapers.
